XP is once more pushing the limits by creating, the first wireless, multi-frequency metal detector with unique features and performance. Once the coil, remote control, headphones and pinpointer are paired, they communicate with each other wirelessly and without latency using the XP patented radio protocol system. This means that the target signals generated by the search coil are quickly transmitted to the headphones without any delay, giving the DEUS II unparalleled speed and accuracy. The DEUS II performs extremely well in all terrain conditions, both on land and at sea, thanks to FMF® (Fast Multi Frequency) technology.
This DEUS2-ELLHPRCWASTE configuration includes:
Manufacturer SKU: DEUS2-ELLHPRCWASTE
The XP DEUS II Gold Metal Detector combines the advanced DEUS II Fast Multi Frequency platform with XP's high-frequency HF2 9.5" x 5" elliptical search coil, DEUS II Remote Control, and WSA ST stereo wireless headphones.
This configuration is designed for detectorists who need exceptional sensitivity to small gold nuggets, fine jewelry, small coins, low-conductive targets, and difficult targets hidden in mineralized or iron-contaminated ground. At the same time, it retains the versatility of the DEUS II platform for coin hunting, relic hunting, parks, fields, beaches, wet sand, and general-purpose detecting.
The HF2 coil operates from 9 to 90 kHz in Fast Multi Frequency (FMF) mode and from 9 to 120 kHz in mono-frequency mode, giving the DEUS II Gold substantially more high-frequency capability than the standard DEUS II FMF coils.
Its narrow elliptical shape also improves maneuverability and target separation in difficult locations where a larger round coil can struggle.
The major difference between this configuration and a standard XP DEUS II package is the HF2 elliptical coil.
Standard DEUS II FMF coils are designed as versatile general-purpose search coils. The HF2 extends the DEUS II into much higher operating frequencies, making it particularly useful when sensitivity to extremely small or low-conductivity targets matters.
The HF2 provides three primary multi-frequency ranges:
| HF2 Frequency Range | Best Suited For |
|---|---|
| 9–27 kHz | General detecting, coins, relics and larger targets |
| 17–53 kHz | Small targets, jewelry, difficult ground and target separation |
| 17–90 kHz | Fine gold, micro-targets and extreme small-target sensitivity |
| Mono: 9–120 kHz | Precise single-frequency control and specialized high-frequency detecting |
The ability to reach 90 kHz in FMF mode and 120 kHz in mono mode is particularly important for prospectors searching for small natural gold.
Higher frequencies can respond more strongly to very small and low-conductive targets, while XP's FMF processing allows multiple frequencies to work together for improved target information and ground handling.
At the center of the DEUS II Gold package is XP's HF2 high-frequency elliptical coil.
Its narrow 24 x 13 cm / 9.5" x 5" footprint makes it easier to work between rocks, vegetation, stubble, iron, and closely spaced targets.
That can be particularly useful in old sites and heavily contaminated ground, where target separation can matter as much as raw detection depth.

The HF2 uses a 2300 mAh removable lithium battery, a major change from earlier XP high-frequency coil designs.
The replaceable battery system gives detectorists greater flexibility during extended detecting sessions and makes long-term battery servicing easier.
Runtime is rated at more than 10 hours, depending on the selected frequency and power settings.
The DEUS II Gold is particularly well suited to gold-bearing locations where targets may be extremely small and ground conditions can be highly mineralized.
Small gold can be difficult for conventional metal detectors because the target signal may be weak and easily masked by the surrounding ground.
The HF2's high-frequency range provides greater sensitivity to these small, low-conductive targets, while the DEUS II platform offers ground adjustment and dedicated detecting programs for difficult environments.
It is a strong choice for:
Despite the Gold designation, this is not limited to gold prospecting.
The HF2's combination of high sensitivity, compact dimensions, Fast Multi Frequency processing and target separation makes it useful across many detecting applications.
Very thin or small coins can produce relatively weak target responses. The higher frequencies available through the HF2 can improve sensitivity to these difficult targets.
Small earrings, thin chains, tiny pendants and other low-conductive jewelry can be challenging targets for lower-frequency detectors. The HF2's high-frequency capability is particularly useful when searching for fine jewelry.
The narrow elliptical coil can work effectively through iron-contaminated historic sites where desirable non-ferrous targets may sit very close to nails and other ferrous debris.
Its compact footprint provides better physical separation between closely spaced targets than a large search coil, making it easier to work around modern trash.
XP designed the HF2 for stability across wet and difficult terrain, including mineralized ground and beach environments.
XP's FMF — Fast Multi Frequency — technology allows the detector to process multiple frequencies simultaneously rather than requiring the operator to select only one operating frequency.
Different frequencies respond differently to target size, conductivity and ground conditions.
Lower frequencies tend to favor larger and higher-conductivity targets, while higher frequencies improve response to smaller and lower-conductivity targets.
By combining multiple frequencies, the DEUS II can provide strong performance across a broader range of targets and conditions.
The HF2 expands this capability considerably by extending FMF operation as high as 90 kHz.
The DEUS II Remote Control includes 12 factory detecting programs covering a wide range of environments:
An additional 12 user program slots allow experienced detectorists to build and save custom setups.
Gold Field is particularly relevant to this HF2 configuration. It is designed for highly mineralized gold-bearing ground and operates with an all-metal approach so faint target responses are not unnecessarily rejected.
Fast and Sensitive programs are useful in mineralized or iron-contaminated areas where fast recovery and separation between adjacent targets become important.
These programs help the DEUS II work around electrically conductive saltwater environments and wet sand.
The included DEUS II Remote Control gives full access to the detector's settings, target information and adjustment options.
Settings include functions such as:
The remote can remain attached to the telescopic stem or be removed and carried separately.
The DEUS II Remote Control is IP68 certified for submersion to 20 meters / 66 feet when configured correctly with the appropriate waterproof plug.
For deep underwater detecting, XP's appropriate underwater antenna and submersible headphone configuration should be used.
The included WSA ST headphones are rainproof, not designed for underwater submersion.
This package includes XP's newer WSA ST wireless stereo headphones.
They communicate directly with the DEUS II Remote Control through XP's proprietary wireless protocol.
XP's wireless communication system is designed for extremely fast signal transmission, allowing the audio response to reach the operator almost immediately after the coil detects a target.
Because the headphones are extremely light and use XP's integrated wireless system, there is no conventional headphone cable running from the detector to the user.
One of the defining characteristics of the DEUS II platform is its wireless architecture.
The search coil contains its own electronics and communicates with compatible XP control and audio devices through XP's proprietary radio protocol.
This eliminates the conventional coil cable running up the shaft and allows the detector to remain exceptionally clean and lightweight.
The system also provides extremely fast communication between compatible XP components, which is important when trying to identify closely spaced targets.
The 9.5" x 5" elliptical shape offers an important advantage in difficult sites.
Large coils cover more ground with each sweep, but they also see a larger volume of soil at once. When several targets are close together, their signals can overlap.
A narrow elliptical coil reduces the amount of ground being analyzed across its narrow axis.
That makes the HF2 especially useful for:
Combined with the DEUS II's adjustable Reactivity settings, the HF2 can provide excellent separation between closely spaced ferrous and non-ferrous targets.
Highly mineralized soil can mask weak targets and generate unwanted ground response.
This becomes particularly important when prospecting for natural gold because very small nuggets may produce signals that are close to the response generated by the surrounding soil.
The DEUS II provides adjustable ground handling, dedicated Gold Field operation and FMF processing, while XP specifically designed the HF2 for improved stability in wet and mineralized ground.
This combination allows the operator to maintain sensitivity to small targets while managing difficult ground conditions.
The DEUS II Gold is particularly well suited to intermediate, advanced and professional-level detectorists who want more control and higher small-target sensitivity than a basic detector provides.
Gold Prospectors
The HF2's 90 kHz FMF and 120 kHz mono capability is designed for detecting very small gold in difficult ground.
Relic Hunters
Its narrow coil and fast target response work well around iron contamination.
Serious Coin Hunters
The detector provides extensive target and audio information along with multiple programs for different site conditions.
Jewelry Hunters
High-frequency sensitivity can help with smaller and lower-conductivity jewelry targets.
Experienced Beach Hunters
DEUS II includes dedicated saltwater programs and waterproof hardware for shoreline and underwater applications.
Detectorists Hunting Worked-Out Sites
The HF2 can be particularly valuable where larger coils have already covered the obvious targets and improved separation is needed to isolate difficult signals.
The HF2 should not simply be viewed as a smaller version of the standard DEUS II coil. Its frequency architecture and intended applications are significantly different.
The HF2 coil and DEUS II Remote Control are rated for submersion to 20 meters / 66 feet.
That makes the detector platform capable of serious underwater use when configured with the proper XP underwater accessories.
Important: The included WSA ST headphones are rainproof but are not submersible headphones. Underwater detecting requires compatible XP underwater audio equipment and the appropriate underwater signal/antenna configuration.
