Description

A favorite detector for treasure divers around the world because of its ability to ignore salt water, the Sea Hunter's electronic housing can be mounted on the hip or above, below or under the cuff in either short or long configuration.

Highly Recommended for Surf Hunting, Treasure Diving, Coin Hunting, Jewelry Hunting, Relic Hunting, Cache Hunting, Prospecting, Dry Beach/Fresh Water Hunting

“The Sea Hunter Mark II follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and provides water hunters with a quality metal detector that has been designed to provide years of service with features not found on other pulse detectors. With the innovative discrimination circuit found on the Mark II, one is able to not only ignore black sand and salt water typical of pulse induction units but much of the trash commonly encountered in popular sites such as swimming beaches. ”

Incredible Machine!!!

"I ordered the Sea Hunter Mark II as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend this year. We had never used a metal detector of any kind prior to purchasing the Sea Hunter. We are located in South FL - very close to the beach - and we are avid boaters and scuba divers. So after extensive online research about various types (and brands) of machines, I decided that this particular choice would fit our needs. It is completely waterproof to 200 ft - a depth far greater than which a recreational diver should be using a metal detector at…so that was a big factor in my choice. The control knobs are extremely simple and there is no display screen, both important to me since we are new to the hobby. I wanted something which would allow us to learn the technique of metal detecting before worrying about the more “technical” side of it (i.e. what frequencies bottle caps emit vs. what frequencies gold emits.) Another reason I chose the Sea Hunter is because it looked extremely durable…I found this to be accurate upon receiving the shipment from Detector Warehouse. It seems very sturdy and does not have a “cheap” feel or look to it AT ALL. It is not cheap…but I am a firm believer in the notion that you get what you pay for. I was not willing to purchase a detector which would need to be upgraded soon after the learning curve. While not the most expensive hobby in the world, it is not cheap either. The headphones are fairly comfortable and the volume, while not adjustable, is just about right. We have taken the Sea Hunter to the beach twice so far, each time finding many goodies in the sand. We have yet to try it underwater but it works extremely well in a beach environment. On our first outing we found several coins, bottle caps & even a ring! Our second outing unearthed a beer can, more coins, bottle caps & tent stakes — as well as an extremely sharp & extremely small piece of a self-tapping screw which was right next to one of the beach volleyball courts. No longer a hazard! I will post a review update after a few months when we’ve logged some more hours and put it through its paces."
